After 35 years in public practice, Brian Trenholm retired as an assurance services partner in the Fredericton office of Grant Thornton LLP, Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. He is currently working part-time as the chief financial officer of the Gill Group of Companies and enjoying his new-found flexibility.

He remains active in the local community—a member and past-president of the Rotary Club of Fredericton, the Treasurer of the Capital City Boat Club, a member of the O'Brien Foundation Committee, and a volunteer for many other organizations. Brian has also served, in past, on the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants Council, the New Brunswick Association for Community Living Board of Directors, and the Campaign Cabinet of United Way.

He is a life member of The Beaverbrook Art Gallery. He is also a member of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, the Capital City Boat Club, and the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron.

Brian is married to Barbara Trenholm. In their spare time, they enjoy travel, biking, boating, and skiing.
