Barbara Trenholm is a professor of accounting at the University of New Brunswick. She is a prolific author of accounting textbooks and is active in her profession. She is the President of Tantramar Management Ltd. and is member of the Board of Directors of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited and Plazacorp Retail Properties Ltd.

She is a life member of The Beaverbrook Art Gallery and Beta Gamma Sigma. She is also a member of the Capital City Boat Club, the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron, the Opimian Society, and Phi Kappa Phi.

Barbara is married to Brian Trenholm. In their spare time, they enjoy travel, biking, boating, and skiing.
